First picked up a racquet at the age of 5, Maria trained at the International Tennis Club in Madrid and was part of the top junior team that travelled around Spain and abroad to compete at high level tournaments for several years. Maria was a former top junior pennant player and participated in many regional tournaments in the capital of Spain, Padel-Tennis was another skill she decide to commit to, a popular sport in Spain and South America, she developed the skills required in order to compete in National Tournaments in Spain and continued to do so for more than 10 years winning a few tournaments along the way, she also played for a club which formed a division 1 team.
Coached at the Chamartin Tennis Club in Madrid for 4 years and then moved to coach at a private club called Los Cerezos Tennis Club also in Madrid for 3 years. During all her coaching years, she has had extensive experience coaching children of all ages and adults whether it be group or private lessons, Maria had it all covered. She wanted to go further with her coaching expertise and gained some experience co-coordinating the cardio tennis sessions. She currently has a Tennis Australia Trainee Coaching Qualification. We are proud to have Maria on board to continue the quality of coaching services she has on offer at the Academy.
